The RIPA Speakers Bureau

Welcome to the RIPA Speakers Bureau! The Speakers Bureau is a service provided by the RIPA Public Education Campaign (PEC) to help connect organizations that would benefit from psychologists’ presentations with psychologists who are willing to share their expertise.

The Rhode Island Psychological Association has psychologists who are able to present on a wide range of topics related to the field of psychology, tailored to the needs of your organization.  Our psychologists have expertise that is relevant for community organizations, businesses, schools, and professional groups. The following are just a few examples of specific, tailored presentation topics:

  • Strategies for Stress Management in the Workplace
  • Understanding the Types and Treatments for Anxiety Disorders
  • Ways of Helping Someone When They Are Depressed
  • Helping Your Anxious Child
  • Psychological Aspects of Weight Loss and Management
  • What’s All This About Mindfulness?
  • Schools and Families Working Together
  • Effective Parenting Strategies for Kids in Today’s World
  • What Makes a Healthy Relationship?

If you are an organization interested in finding a speaker, please send an email to and include: a brief description of your needs, potential topics, a description of your organization and who the audience will be, and the dates, locations, and honorariums. We will follow-up to clarify the needs of your organization and help connect you with a psychologist who may be able to give the presentation. We will make every effort to identify a psychologist from our Speakers Bureau who can work together with your organization; however, we cannot guarantee that there will be a psychologist who is a good match for your request (i.e. due to availability or experience in the topic you are requesting).

If you are a RIPA member willing to give a presentation, please send a list of the topics and talks you can give to

RIPA members: Do you know of an organization that might benefit from psychological presentations? If you know of an organization that might be interested in having a conversation with us about hosting a mental health presentation, please contact We will reach out to organizations and discuss potential speaking engagements.
