Episodes 1 and 2 of "The Sopranos". Wondering what it would be like to be a therapist to the Mob, we took a peek into the complex world of a therapist who is doing her best to help her patient, who happens to be involved in organized crime. Presented and Hosted by Michael Werle, Ph.D. and Lilyanne Werle

Mike Werle (a past-President of RIPA) and his wife Lilyanne wrote the book Couples Enlightenment to aid couples in developing committed relationships. This Valentine's Eve salon was an informal discussion of Couples Enlightenment principles, and focused on the application of these principles to working with individual couples and couples groups.

The room was full, the presentation was engaging and informative, and the discussion was rich and enjoyable.

Understanding Homosexuality, Changing Schools

Our guest for the evening was Arthur Lipkin, Ed.D., from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  He spoke briefly about the genesis of his book, "Understanding Homosexuality, Changing Schools" (1999), and then addressed three issues:

1) the problem of homophobia in the current campaign to raise well-adjusted boys;
2) the dangers of emphasizing risk behaviors among gay/lesbian/bisexual youth;
3) the challenges to healthy socialization among glb youth.

We had an interesting and lively discussion!

Hosted by Lew Lipsitt, Ph.D.
