Compared with many other State and Provincial Psychological Associations (SPPAs), RIPA has a very small operating budget,
and a structure that limits our ability to lobby for all of the legislative and regulatory initiatives that are consistent with our mission.
Our affiliation with the Coalition of Mental Health Professionals of Rhode Island (COMHPRI) has expanded the strength of RIPA beyond our resource limitations by providing
us with a wealth of expertise in health care activism and the opportunity to pool our efforts with other organizations with similar vision and goals.
