We welcome your support and participation through membership. RIPA provides services that support all psychologists and the public, but membership brings additional benefits.

Who may join RIPA? RIPA includes psychologists and students of Psychology from all specialties, including researchers, clinicians, academicians, practitioners in public agencies, and industrial, organizational, and school psychologists.

Membership Categories and Annual Dues

Member: (a) any person who was a member of RIPA as of June 1, 1965; or (b) a Fellow or Member of the American Psychological Association; or (c) a person holding a Doctoral degree in Psychology or a closely related field, in which a majority of the academic courses were in Psychology, and conferred by a graduate or professional school which is regionally accredited or which has achieved such accreditation within five years of the year the Doctorate was granted.

Part-Time Clinician 1st year Member $100.00

Academician/Researcher   $100.00

Associate: A person holding a Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field, in which a majority of the academic courses were in Psychology, who has three full years of experience in the field of Psychology (which may include professional internships). The degree must be conferred by a graduate or professional school which is regionally accredited or which has achieved such accreditation within five years of the year the Master's degree was granted.

Hardship   $ 30.00

Student Affiliate: A person who is either a graduate student or an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology at a recognized college or university.

Endorsement Requirement: An applicant for Member status must be a Member or Fellow of APA or must be endorsed by two RIPA Members. Similarly, an applicant for either Association or Student Affiliate status must either belong to APA as an Associate or Student or must be endorsed by two Members of RIPA. Please note that if you would like to join but do not at present know two RIPA Members of RIPA, please contact the RIPA office via email or at (401) 736-2900.
